South Africa - Capetown!

As you all may know I love to travel, so in the month of March I headed to the Motherland, Africa for a 2 week adventure! I went specifically to South Africa, Capetown. How & Why? I was invited by onelovetravel.club to host this trip and I was able to invite all my subscribers and followers to come with me! I will talk more about onelovetravelclub and when I do a dedicated post on how to plan the perfect vacation/getaway!

It's crazy because a year ago I spoke it into existence that I would be in Africa in the year 2017 and The Most High made it happen. I was actually going to go to Ghana (still will), but it played out that Capetown was the place for me to be. I had the most amazing time, the food was impeccable and the views were top notch, something I could only dream of but this time it was reality!

WHERE WE STAYED

110 De Waterkant - 3 bedroom house with 2 terraces, 3 bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, wifi centrally located and very safe!
Sun Square Capetown - Standard hotel, location was ok, pool, restaurant located on site, safe and friendly staff
Aquilla Private Game Reserve - Luxury(ish) Hotel on a game reserve/safari, beautiful swimming pools, spa(amazing), atvs, horseback riding, a lot of bugs if you stay in a cabin!

PLACES WE VISITED:

Coco's Club
Camp's Bay
Bar 41
Marco's African Place
The African Cafe

Camp's Bay when the sun was setting, it was so beautiful. Def a must see!

Lunch on top of a mountain with the crew. One of the best days ever!!!
Bo-Kaap Street (the most amazing colourful houses)
Robben Island - where the Political Prisoners were held including Nelson Mandela and Robert Sobukwe.
Aquilla Game Reserve (Hotel) - SO BEAUTIFUL

Dinner at a local township, partying and eating dinner the local way!

Table Mountain - best views ever!

VOLUNTEER DAY - THE MOST MEMORABLE DAY!

When you join onelovetravel.club one thing the founder Chole, makes sure of is that there is a 'give back' volunteer portion to the trip. It is the most rewarding experience ever and it was honestly the best part of my trip. We held a fitness/self-confidence day for a Primary School in the Bo-Kaap neighbourhood.  The kids were so excited to meet us. They were so full of energy and so much fun to be around. I learned a lot from them and I fell in the love with one girl. She was so precious...she asked me to be her mom LOL! She could not stop giving me hugs and even asked if I could have her number, I swear I wanted to take her home or at least keep in contact with her. She made me cry... happy tears!!! Ughh

I've always wanted to give back but sometimes its scary blindly giving money away to charities and not being 100% on where your money goes. This was a totally different experience and I knew exactly where my efforts were going. Chole also made sure a portion of the final cost of the trip went back to a local Township that experienced a fire where homes were completely destroyed. The township was in need of supplies for the men, women and children. Chole went out and used that money to buy needed supplies for the community and delivered everything first hand!

Overall, my experience in South Africa was UNFORGETTABLE and I would love to return again soon. Please check out PART 1 and PART 2 of my South Africa, Capetown Vlog to see how everything really went down!

  8. Hey there I'm actually very new to the whole writing to youtubers, but I have to comment on your curls in Bahamas trip which was filmed and edited so amazingly(sorry I'm commenting under Africa about Bahamas, again new to this lol) . I've viewed others clips from other curls girls and none compared to yours. I literally felt like I was there with you. I find you to be so humble, and down to earth. Its a pleasure to view your vids from time to time when I'm not managing my hectic life. So you take Care and may God bless you and prosper your steps according to his will.
